Philadelphia

Philadelphia has many theaters. Would like some help in learning more about what is available in Philadelphia, where to stay, where to dine, etc..

Here are descriptions of some theater venues.

About the Forrest Theatre
http://www.meetup.com...

The Forrest is one of Philadelphia's premier venues for live theatre, presenting only the very best plays and musicals that Broadway has to offer. In recent years, the Forrest has been honored to host touring productions of Mamma Mia!, The Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, Avenue Q, and more.

Built in 1927 by the Shubert Organization, the Forrest has played host to hundreds of theatrical productions over the years, including Broadway musicals, comedies, dramas, Yiddish theatre, dance programs, Gilbert & Sullivan productions, and the Philadelphia Orchestra. Still owned and operated by the Shubert Organization after almost eight decades, the Forrest Theatre continues to be a shining star in Philadelphia's theatre community.

Since the 2007-08 season, the Forrest Theatre has joined with the Kimmel Center to offer a season of first class Broadway touring productions.
